Welcome to Tomas & Aira profile page.

Aira was born in Lithuania, in Kaunas city. When she was 6, Aira's parents took her to the dance school, where she started dancing International Standard and Latin. After one year she was in love with dancing, and it became her life.

At 14 she started training in England with the best coaches in the world. She was very successful at very early age. The following titles are among her highest achievements:

  • World Youth Ballroom Champion 1997 (also, she won every possible competition that year);
  • Under 21 Blackpool Ballroom Champion 1998;
  • Amateur World Cup Ballroom Champion 1998.
Aira met Tomas in 2000 and turned professional. That same year Aira graduated from Vilnius University majoring in Business and Management.

In her free time she loves working in the office, reading magazines, eating chocolate, watching TV, and, of course, shopping!

Tomas was also born in Kaunas. He started dancing International Standard and Latin when he was 8 years old. Although that was a decision made by Tomas’s family, eventually Tomas himself also started to like dancing, especially after winning his first national title in the 14-16 year old age category. His other highest achievements are:

  • 4 times Lithuanian Amateur Ballroom Champion;
  • 2 times Lithuanian Amateur 10 dance Champion;
  • 1st place in IDSF World ranking list.
Tomas was teaching dancing for the last 15 years. Among the couples he trained are Juvenile & Youth World Champions.

Tomas graduated from Lithuanian Physical Culture Institute (now Lithuanian Academy of Physical Education) in 1995, where he became a professional Dance Sport teacher.

In 1999-2000 Tomas was touring USA, Europe, and Australia as a member of the world known dance show Burn the floor.

As a top Lithuanian Professional Ballroom couple, Tomas and Aira represented Lithuania in European and World Championships for 4 years. Within only one year of dancing together Tomas and Aira became second in Blackpool Dance Festival Rising Star Championships and semi-finalists in European Professional Championships.

In 2003, Tomas and Aira moved to United States and now live in West Sacramento in California.

They are very lucky to receive the best coaching in the world from Richard Gleave, Ann Gleave, Janet Gleave, Michael and Vicky Barr, and John Wood.

Tomas and Aira form a very talented couple known for its classical dance style. Dancing is their life, and their goal is to share their passion, knowledge, and experience with other people who love dancing.

Tomas and Aira thank their families, friends, coaches, students, and fans for believing in them and for continued support throughout the years.
